R. Barrett Decorating Services are based in South Somerset providing painting & decorating services + sliding sash & casement window repair & conservation. Richard and Amanda make up the R. Barrett team and are both highly skilled, experienced, knowledgeable and professional artisans. They are both professional painters and decorators specialising in essential conservation and restoration thereby ensuring sustainability and longevity to sliding sash and casement windows. They have a particular interest in historic and listed homes and, with their passion and empathy, can restore each window to its original charm, character and natural beauty. As well as restoration Richard and Amanda also provide a unique service by carrying out full decoration, both internally and externally as required.

All work carried out by R. Barrett Decorating Services is covered by £2M Public Liability Insurance and no VAT is charged.

Estimates

When carrying out an Estimate, Richard discusses with our prospective Client their individual requirements.  If less work is to be carried out, due to their particular budget, R. Barrett Decorating Services fully respects this.

However, R. Barrett Decorating Services confirms that, due to the nature of the bespoke conservation work carried out, only an Estimate [not a Quotation] can be supplied as the full extent of repairs and/or conservation required cannot be assessed until work has commenced – at which time unforeseen work is shown to & discussed with our Client.

The Estimate can only take into account the replacement of visible rotten wood.
